"Leadership is about making others better as a result of your presence and making sure that impact lasts in your absence" - Sheryl Sandburg

"This is the quote that comes to mind when I think of the mark that True Moua is leaving on this industry. I was a crazy fan girl of True's before meeting her at Conference 12 in 2015 where she was speaking and teaching . True's work is like none I had ever seen! Since then, I have had the opportunity to mentor with her online and meet up with her in Paris, France for her amazing Mystique Workshop! It was one the most incredible opportunities of my life. That workshop was truly magical and hands down one of my most favorite life memories. One thing about True is she meets you where YOU are but doesn't leave you there. She is one of the most humble but honest teachers I have ever worked with. I love her confidence and her boldness to teach HONESTLY. She teaches with a no "holds barred" approach. You will leave inspired, corrected in techniques of shooting, confident in your style, and ready to kick butt in your business. I love and admire True because she is a risk taker and that is something that cannot be copied by any, and that is the confidence that spills out in anyone who has the opportunity to work with her. On a personal level she is one of the most humble selfless beings I know. For being a top leader in this industry one would never know it by her humble approach. True truly loves what she does and that love radiates from her, and I believe that is what makes her such a fabulous leader.  Thank you True for leaving a mark on me and my business, thank you for your honesty and meeting me where I was but not leaving me there! You are a gem unlike any other!"

"True was hands down one of the most informative and inspirational teachers at Click Away.  I learned so much from True regarding styling, posing, lighting and finding phenomenal backdrops off the beaten path.   She shared so much information with the class. We came away with not only knowledge and inspiration but also stunning photographs of her beautiful models. I can’t wait to take what I learned from True and apply it to my own work."

"I have been following True's photography for a couple of years now and have always been in awe of her talent. I knew this last year as I was strategizing how to evolve my photography business to be more aligned with my vision, part of reaching that vision was being mentored by True. I had an amazing experience with our mentorship. I learned a lot about the business side of photography. True was also very encouraging and broke everything down so it was simple to understand and see how to do it on my own after my mentorship. She also set up styled shoots that were just a dream to shoot. Her eye for styling, posing, and lighting is so impressive. And I had a lot of fun being around True. She's very kind and a great teacher. Overall, it was one of the best investments I made!"

"After years of patiently waiting for our paths to cross, finally, I was thrilled to have a moment to meet you at the recent workshop in Dana Point, California. You truly are the sweetest thing!

First off, I loved how personable you were right from the beginning! I was a little nervous to meet you but you were so warm and welcoming like an old friend! THANK YOU so much for sharing your knowledge above and beyond with me over the days. I loved learning about senior photography and all that goes into preparing for your senior sessions. You are a "True Creative " and I appreciate your deep immense passion. I felt that you were completely approachable and spoke easily about your process. You made me want to be a better photographer.

Some of my favorite parts weren't even photography related but were us all just being human! I learned we can run a sprint back to a pier in less than a minute, that you are the perfect foodie partner, and searching for gelato and cream brûlée is an art in itself!"

- Rebecca Bonno  |  Rebecca Bonno Photography

"After 10+ years in business, I wanted to attend a workshop with a photographer whose work I admire, in hopes to come back with something new for my toolbox. Having attending one of True's recent workshops, I found her to be one of the better instructors/leaders/mentors around. Totally open to sharing her business and photography skills, without making you feel like you had to do everything her way. It was refreshing. She was available 24/7 for questions and she's just as cute and fun as you'd think she'd be. I highly recommend attending any educational opportunity she might be offering, if you are focusing on the senior market!"

“I am so grateful that I was able to learn from True at a couple workshops this past year. She is so open and honest and willing to answer any questions I had for her. She helped me with posing at the Joshua Tree Workshop, and Nashville I was able to not only watch her style a model, but she had us style the models on our own. The hands-on experience has been so helpful! I picked up quite a few ideas at these workshops that I could definitely incorporate in my own business. I love being around True cause she really has a fun personality and I’ve always felt welcomed and comfortable around her. Don’t pass up the opportunity to learn from her! It’s so worth it!️"

{Q:} Do you have a studio? Where will my session be? Do you find locations or do I? How many locations will be included?
{A:} Yes, we have a studio located downtown La Crosse, WI. All makeup and hair sessions are done in our studio. If hair and makeup are not booked we will meet you on-location. A location and address will be sent to you three days before your shoot. All of our shoots are done on-location. We take the pressure off of you and find locations for your session. Although locations are important lighting is essential for beautiful portraits. The number of location will depend on the session or collection booked.

{Q:} When should I book my session? Do you require a deposit to book a session?
{A:} We book out several months ahead, with June, July and August being favorable months. We recommend booking your session by spring of your junior year. Yes we do require a non-refundable fee in order to secure a date. The fee will be due at the time of booking and will be applied to your session or collection. In the event you need to cancel your session the deposit is non-refundable.

{Q:} What time of the day do you shoot? Do you shoot on weekdays or weekends?
{A:} We love evening light and schedule 2-3 hours prior to sunset. Our clients are scheduled Monday-Friday. On occasion we do need to schedule sunrise shoot however they are not typically our first option. We do make weekend exceptions if you are flying in or driving more than 3 hours for your session.

{Q:} All the clients on your website look like models, I’m not a model can I still book a session with you?
{A:} Yes you can! We have zero models in our portfolio. We work with real clients with no modeling experience. We love making our client look and feel like they just walked off the cover of a magazine.

{Q:} How many outfits do I bring? Will there be help with styling? Do you have a style-closet?
{A:} You know what looks you want but not sure how to achieve it. No worries we are here to help! Once your session is booked you will receive a questionnaire which allows us to get to know you better. That will be followed by a style board and our what to wear guide along with links to our favorite online shops. Yes we have a small style-closet. We are more than happy to pull pieces to complete your looks.

{Q:} Do your sessions include makeup? I don’t wear makeup, do you require it to book a session with you?
{A:} Our sessions do not include makeup however we highly recommend it. Our biggest compliment over the years would be that our retouched images are not over edited. We owe that to professional, camera ready HD airbrush makeup. If you don’t wear makeup, no worries our barely-there look will be perfect for you, it’s light and sheer but does a great job evening out skin tones and blemishes, yes even guys add on professional airbrush makeup. You may be amazing at applying makeup, however camera makeup is different than your everyday look. A full understanding of the right camera-ready products and application is essential for beautiful straight out of camera results.

{Q:} I see beautiful destinations on your portfolio, do you travel for sessions?
{A:} Yes, I love to travel and always up for a new destination and new backdrops. Travel fees will be added on top of your session fee. We do also try to offer a unique destination to our seniors once a year. Over the years we have offered both in the states and international.

{Q:} I love your creative portraits but I'm not very creative myself, can I still have a creative session?
{A:} YES! We love getting creative and bringing your vision to life. You just have to let us know and we will take it from there!

{Q:} Can I repost or share my images on social media?
{A:} Absolutely! We want you to share your experience and images with your friends and family. All we ask is that you tag us in your post.

{Q:} I see a lot of water shots in your portfolio do you require your clients to get in the water?
{A:} Absolutely not! We will not ask you to do anything you are not comfortable with, in fact we don’t ask anyone to get into the water. If you are wanting to add water shoots to your senior collection, be sure to let us know so we can have you come prepare.

{Q:} Do you photograph boys?
{A:} Yes! Majority of our bookings are girls but we love working with boy seniors just as much!

{Q:} Do you only shoot seniors?
{A:} We love working with teens! Our work is so much more than taking pretty pictures. Five years ago, we decided to specialize in senior portraits and currently only book high school seniors June-October. We still love other genres of photography and book them throughout the year. We do not photograph families, children, newborn or boudoir but would be happy to refer you to someone who does.

{Q:} What kind of sessions or packages do you offer and what do they include?
{A:} We understand that not one person is the same so why only offer one session. We have created multiple sessions and packages so there will be something for everyone. For more detailed information on sessions and packages please request our pricing guide.

{Q:} Can I have a pet, friend or family member in my some of my pictures?
{A:} Yes you can, there is a fee to add an additional person to part of your session.

{Q:} Are parents or friends allowed at my session?
{A:} Absolutely, this is an important day for you, we want those that are special to you to experience it with you.

{Q:} Do I drive myself to my session?
{A:} Yes, unfortunately we are not covered to have you ride with us. You will be responsible for your own transportation to your shoot and from location to location.

{Q:} When will I get to see my images?
{A:} Our seniors get to see their images throughout their entire session on the back of the camera. At the end of your session you get 10 minutes on the clock to quickly star your favorites, I know it sounds terrifying to have to cut out images in 10 minutes, trust me it’s not as hard as you think and nothing gets deleted. Up to three sneak peeks will be posted on IG throughout the next two weeks. You’ll have to wait for the rest.

{Q:} My session is over, what’s the next step.
{A:} You will need to set up an in person ordering session. Due to evening shoot sessions IPS are scheduled during the day. We recommend setting up your appointment the day of your session. IPS are scheduled 3 weeks after your shoot, this allows us time to get your images ready for viewing. If your session doesn’t include an IPS session your online gallery will be ready within 3 weeks of your session and an email with the link will be sent to the email we have on file.

{Q:} How long does it take to get my products? Will they be shipped to us or do we pick them up?
{A:} Products typically take 3 weeks. We love to inspect all our products to make sure they meet our expectations before we hand them over to you. Once all your products are in you will be notified and a pickup time can be scheduled.
